DUTCH FORT (KOTA BELANDA) At Teluk Gedung lies the 330 year old stone foundation of a Dutch Fort built in 1670. It was one of the Dutch strongholds against pirates and local Malays. Actually, during the Dutch occupation in the 17th century, tin supplies from Pangkor and the mainland were stored for protection in this fort. As time goes by, the locals were unhappy with the treatment of the Dutch. So, they managed to destroy the fort sometime in 1690. This is not the end because the Dutch then returned in full force to rebuild the fort.pangkor-attraction

NIPAH BAY
Further down the road, is the increasingly popular Teluk Nipah. Chalets, restaurants and motels line the streets and even the small alleyways and during the peak seasons, it's jam-packed with tourists. The main road lies between the beach and the motels and chalets so don't expect to get any rooms on the beach itself.
PANGKOR TOWN Walk around town to savour some of the local cuisine while sightseeing. If your timing is right, you might even see the fishermen hauling in their catch. Visit a seafood factory producing dried cuttlefish, anchovies, fish satay, and dried shrimps for a taste of Pangkor that can be brought home.
GOLDEN SANDS (PANTAI PUTERI DEWI) The beach is a 3-kilometer long stretch of white sands, located on the northwest of the island. It is cleaned regularly by the resort personnel.
